Eksklusivt intervju: Albin Myers
Housebloggen: Hey! We can start with you introducing yourself for our readers.
– My name is Albin Myers and I’m based in Stockholm, Sweden. Producing House music for the people
Housebloggen: How did your DJ/producing career begin?
– I started of very early. I was about 14, using the classic music making program Fast Tracker 2, and mixing started around that time aswell. But my proffesional carrer started 4 years ago. Making remixes under a different alias for artists. The big break must have been in 2008 when I got the chance to remix John Dahlback’s «Hustle Up» & Tom Novy’s «Run Away».
Housebloggen: What are your plans for the rest of the year?
– Plans are to sit in in my studio and make more music! And do DJ sets all over the world:)
Housebloggen: We know you are very busy, but do you have any near future projects or releases to look out for?
– Well I’ve got allot of collabs coming out with Dabruck & Klein, Norman Doray & John Dahlback. But the biggest thing for me now is my next single «There 4 You», wich will be released July 5th. I’m really excited about that!
Housebloggen: Top 5 tracks at the moment?
David Tort & Norman Doray – The Sun
Stephan M & Laurent Simeca – Roxanne (All Mixes)
Albin Myers – There 4 You feat. St. James
Avicii, Norman Doray & Sebastien Drums – Tweet It
Adrian Lux – Teenage Crime (Axwell & Henrik B Remode)
Housebloggen: Favorite DJ/Producer?
– One of my absolute favourite DJ’s is Sebastian Ingrosso. He really gives it all when he is in the DJ booth. Producers are so many. Hard to pick one out from the masses.
Housebloggen: Have you ever had an embarrassing moment when you were DJ-ing ?
– Well shit happens to all of us. I can’t say that I have any really juicy story to tell
more then that a record has stoped in the middle of a set from time to time.
Housebloggen: What kind of job would you have if you weren’t a DJ?
– Movie Director
Housebloggen: You have been in Oslo several times, what do think about the Norwegian club life?
– Well for what I’ve seen it gots great potential to be even bigger! I’ve really enjoyed the times I’ve been over and hopefully it will be more!
Housebloggen: Anything you want to say to your Norwegian fans?
– Thanx for the support you’ve given me in the club & hope to see you all soon again!
Housebloggen: To round of the interview, a word of advice to the up and coming DJs and producers out there?
– My advice is always WORK WORK WORK! You never get anything for free.
On behalf of Housebloggen.no and your Norwegian fans, thank you very much and keep on bringing us those great tracks!
OK! Sykt. Fett intervju
